Orrefors is an established utility glass and art glass producer situated in Sweden which develops craftsmanship with amazing design. They are making a new collection of cups with Karl Lagerfeld and they posted a create video on their website with Lagerfeld himself explaining all about it!

The design is very clean, bold and Bauhaus inspired for me, very geometrical like the Kaiser said: "geometrical cloud" - the cups are made in white, black and clear and there are a quite good amout of shapes and cups for different occasions.

The film shows him sketching the glasses and explaining that he feels better drinking his Coke on a pretty cup; and it must be stressed that he created something amazing here - the cups have each a glass monogrammed coaster that looks like the base of the cup and stays attached to the cup.
The range includes wine, water and liqueur glasses as well as vases and Champagne flutes and is exclusive to Harrods from Thursday 15th September.

Part of the pleasure of drinking is in the cup's design.

Et VoilĂ !
