SAUDADE

This is the word to describe this post. It's funny to think of my childhood and the meaning of "saudade", it's hard to translate but I noticed that is one of the first words that people teach foreigners when they are in Brazil. "This word is a Portuguese language word difficult to translate adequately, which describes a deep emotional state of nostalgic longing for something or someone that one was fond of and which is lost".
But is not a sad word, it can be good, a warm feeling of remembering something from the past and with this I leave you with these 3 stories that i remember like it was yesterday, and I don't know why but is still vivid in my head.

Cheers

IDEAS I LIKE

Make a Gif website finally a super easy way to make Gifs, yay!!!

Check mine out!

CREATIVE PROCESS: CUT & GLUE

I had this idea of leaving my head free from all painful thinking process of a collection, my theme was to go only with my eyes and go with the moment, following in part what the surrealists preached in their creative process. I cut loads of little things that i saw on magazines(that i didn't want anymore) like accessories, furniture, even things that aren't fashionable like bikes, balls, etc...
I cut them all, got also from these magazines some photos that the models had little clothing or very tight clothing and started randomly placing them without, then coloring (this time I thought a little about which colors I liked). After all that I designed exactly what i saw  and did a few more versions of the each one. A free mind collection.

Collection designed in September 2009 (and still is cool today)

I GUESS THAT'S WHY THEY CALL IT THE BLUES (AND JAZZ)

I think it must be said that Blues not only changed the music scene but also influenced the dress code. We would think that they looked the same as the men and women at that time but they had something else; a ZAZ, a more relaxed with a bit of swing and star quality. Not afraid to be different than the super smart wear, posh well dressed. As we know, they struggled with racism and still were a sensation in the radios all over the world. I really thing there is something extra in their style, their way of dressing - maybe is that SOUL that was is so powerfull and it goes beyond style and music.

It's all about attitude and courage.
