HOMMAGE A L'IMAGINATION
This is my newest editorial. I styled with the collaboration of the great photographer Florian Hess, the amazing model Chrystaline and also great MUA Lucy. It's a homage to the surrealist manifesto, the idea is that the girl is hit by this enormous creativity and she cannot control her body , she is exited, hypnotised.
Also a big thanks to the designers: Zambesi, A60, Tina Kalivas, Thurley, Patrizia Pepe, and friends amazing clothes.

WONDERFUL LANDSCAPE
Today I remembered a movie that i really really love, that inspire me in every possible way... always... The Fall, directed by the amazing and creative Tarsem and costume design by Eiko Ishioka, has an incredible and heartfelt story and of course a BREATHTAKING PHOTOGRAPHY, they've chosen the most amazing places, certainly the story wouldn't be so strong and fantastic if it wasn't for the great Landscapes, places like Fatehpur Sikri, Jaipur, Jodhpur etc...
The plot is all about this motto, I felt like the little girl who needs to dream, I sometimes prefer dreaming than real life, when i watch a movie a feel like I am living that, like I was experiencing a past life.
Enough with digressions, here are the pics...
Tarsem and Eiko (they also did The Cell movie together) make me understand freedom of thinking and the "everything is possible" motto.
Lets not forget about the gorgeous Lee Pace and this great modern Hair cut (shaved on the side and super long on top). Foxy!!
And here is the Trailer for THE FALL
Ps: It worths checking out Tarsem Website, there you can find other amazing ad videos that he did. Everything so creative.

TEXTURE in 2011
I am in love with the use of texture in the latest runway shows, the all over prints, digital prints of textures. To me seems that we now have more possibilities, because you can make a cotton dress and print on it a nice woolen knitwear texture! We now have the possibility to "wear" wood, rocks, rugs, and even photographs and blueprints!
ps: IDEA I LIKE: mixing all over prints together and putting up a whole look of prints, from head to toe!
Cheers for textures

Talking about amazing textures...
There's a fantastic American artist who is a great influence on the Mulleavy girls, Robert Smithson is a Land Artist, who creates beautiful drawings, shapes, textures using the most incredible materials, the earth, the sea, sand, rocks, NATURE!! Well captured in aerial photos but ephemeral because it gets lost over time.
Another influential artist Yann Arthus-Bertrand, a french photographer and environmentalist, focused on aerial photos and made amazing photos of gathered objects or people, or anything... Definitely worth researching
