OLD VERSACE IS BACK!

Be prepared people!! As you probably know, recently Versace is doing a collection with H&M (opening November 19th) and is bringing back the tackiness of old Versace, the original one from the 80's. At first it looks too much and my 90's brain still remembers that TOO MUCH decade, but who doesn't love the 80's.

Versace for H&M 2011

Here it is the ad campaign for H&M shot by Mert & Marcus with models Daphne Groeneveld & Lindsey Wixson, Sasha Pivovarova and Abby Lee styled by Joe McKenna.

Here it's an editorial for French Vogue with Isabeli Fontana already in this tacky/awesome mood!

The thing is, I've been seeing for a while now that Nicola Formichetti and Lady Gaga started to resurface this trend once again. She was all about transparent latex, very modern and clean and all of the sudden she is completely all about tassels, gold and black leather, red lipstick, belts and harnesses, and even the classic 80's removable face mole (which started to get bigger and bigger).
First time I saw it I didn't like it but later I realized what they were dealing with, I appreciate it so much because is one of those things that people didn't bring back yet, so here it comes.

Edge of Glory - Vintage Versace

Warning: What I am pointing out here isn't just the Versace Brand, but the style of that particular tackiness from the exuberant 80's.

In fact we can see in the latest fashion show like D&G, Givenchy embranced it!
