TOUCH OF EVIL

It's been a while since this was published on the New York Times website but I felt I needed to blog about it. 

Directed by Alex Prager the series of short films called "Touch of Evil" - 'a video gallery of cinematic villainy, inspired by nefarious icons'.

IMAGERY OF NATALIE SHAU

Natalie Shau is illustrator and photographer of Russian and Kazakhstan descent. She works with digital media and a mixture of her photography, digital painting and 3D elements.

Her images are very powerful influenced by religion, pin-up, fairy tales and classic horror literature and Russian classic literature such as Fyodor Dostoevsky, Nikolai Gogol.

 Her illustrations for Lydia Courteille jewelry campaign were published in french VOGUE magazine. Natalie’s client list consists of many music and advertisement labels such as: Island Def Jam, Ogilvy & Mather, Sony BMG among others.

I know that everyone has already talked so much about the Mad Men style and the women in the cast, but this post is specially for Christina Hendrick, because she is an example of how a different body type other than the normally flat-ultra-skinny girls can be super hot, amazingly stylish and powerful.

Amazing work by Erik Madigan Heck; the photographer shot the latest Mary Katrantzou collection "Florals" the best way it can be shot - as paintings.
Just completely beautiful.

MARION FOR LADY DIOR

I just loved this latest film Marion Cotillard did for Lady Dior directed by John Cameron Mitchell and I actually LOVED this last photo of the photo shoot with her throwing the purse.



And here is the Making Of where the director says that this film was inspired by a Richard Avedon short film with Lauren Hutton (see below).

THE FACES OF TIMES

I just saw an amazing trailer, an HBO documentary called "About Face". The film is about the great models and beauties of the past talking about how is it getting old and the relation to their jobs and the fashion industry. AMzing women like Carmen Dell-Orefice, Jerry Hall, Isabella Rosellini, Marisa Berenson, Paulina Porizkova and more. 

Even if it's a small trailer I loved it and I am really excited to watch it. Stay tuned.

Talking about amazing style at a older age and keeping it incredible and original there is a stunning blog called "Advanced Style" that shows street fashion photos from only older women and of course incredible stylish women.
