THE "FAR" POINT OF VIEW

Andreas Gursky is a photographer and visual artist that looks at things differently or at least he seeks for a different point of view on life.
How would all this craziness around us look like from above? What about the marvelous landscapes?
I sincerely think that searching different ways to look at the same thing takes us to better understanding. Therefore it can gives us with lots of different stories. I imagine a photographer that goes all his life shooting from the standard angles and finds himself all of the sudden with a new world to look at - from above, from the bottom.

KIRKWOOD + KEITH

Amazing special collection that Nicholas Kirkwood did inspired by Keith Haring works. Love it, this is fantasy/creativity that goes beyond the commercial, I bet everyone will want to shoot this. I would - definitely.

GILT+NICOLA

I am so happy to see an interview with Nicola Formichetti (Lady Gaga's stylist), it seems weird - because he is the most talked about stylist at the moment - but I have never heard his voice before this video. He is definitely an inspiration and it was delightful to see a little bit of him. In this video we can also see the backstage of a shooting he did for Gilt Group and it looks so cool. I love his references, he gets a lot of inspiration by mixing street styles and as he says him self he loves to mix high & low.

ARCHIFASHION

Nowness presents a film for 3.1 Phillip Lim's fall 2011collection, the film is called "Weavers" - lovely images about the relationship between fashion and architecture - the urban man - beautiful gray scale tones in the landscapes and clothing. Directed by Andrew Paynter.
